A summary of events for 2023 is outlined below – while the ‘festival’ is one day only, the soccer competitions will run before and after 19 Aug.

Sat 19 August

11am – 2pmFamily Fun Day – Sports Complex, Craiglea

Including bouncy castles, rodeo bull, arts & crafts, balloons, face painting, dancing. Competitions – Beat the Goalie, Sponge Throw*, Bean Bag/Cactus Throw, Hook a Duck, Hoop Dunk.

11am – 2pmImagination Tent – Bowling Pavillion, Craiglea

Bring your ideas and imagination about how we can make Kilrea a better place to live, work and study in. £3,000 available to fund projects which we want to develop between now and end of the year.
3.30pmBeat the Bell

Calling runners of all ages – can you run between the Diamond and Church of Ireland faster than the church’s tolling bell? Come and give it a go and help keep this old Kilrea tradition alive after it was relaunched at last year’s festival.

Boys – U14 – beat 20 rings
Girls – U14 – beat 22 rings
Men – 14+ – beat 15 rings
Women – 14+ – beat 20 rings
3.30pmTraditional music session

A trad session will run at same time as the race, location tbc.
